What sets The Safe House Framework ™ apart from other parent education programs?

  • Neurodivergent Led

The Safe House Framework was developed by a neurodivergent clinical psychologist.

The program brings together a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise, alongside the wisdom gained through both professional and lived experience.

  • Whole Team Approach

The framework is designed to support a collaborative, whole team approach to supporting your child.

This program gives you the tools you need to ensure all the members of your child's team understand the affirming approach, and share aligned values.

  • Competence and Confidence

The program will guide you through building an affirming support network for your child from the ground up.

Move beyond the confusion and overwhelm. Feel competent and confident in your ability to support and advocate for your child.

FAQ

  • What will I learn?

The Safe House Framework is designed to help you organise your thinking around how best to support your autistic child.

By the end of the program you will have a deep and nuanced understanding of autism, through the lens of the neurodiversity paradigm. And you will have a detailed action plan specific to your child that you can implement immediately.

The plan will guide you through building an affirming team for your child, identifying the most important features of your child's unique profile, creating an individualised support plan for your child, and educating all the important people in your child's world so they can create a safe and supportive environment for your child.

  • How long will it take?

It very much depends on how much time you spend on the workbook activities.

Like most things in life, the more you put into the program, the more you will get out of it.

There is 4 hours of video content, plus 7 case studies, a 100+ page workbook, and some simple quizzes to highlight the key points.

The program is designed to be worked through gradually, over days or weeks.

  • How long do I have access?

Access to the parent program is free for 60 days.

If you would like more time, you can purchase 12 months access for $450.

  • Why is the parent program free?

To make it as accessible as humanly possible.

I know how costly it can be to raise a neurodivergent child in a world designed for the neuro-majority.

There's no escaping capitalism, but I refuse to let money get in the way of advocacy - and an informed, motivated parent is a child's GREATEST advocate.

I hope that by giving parents helpful information and support, I can create a ripple effect that ultimately improves the mental health of autistic children and young people.

  • What support is available?

There are 2 options for support:

You can join our monthly Connect and Learn sessions.

Your Guide

Hello and welcome!

My name is Valli, and I am a clinical psychologist and autistic woman.

My mission is to improve the mental health of autistic children and young people by helping adults embrace their unique way of being, and support them in ways that truly matter.

This program is a carefully curated collection of the information and tools I have found to be most helpful in both my clinical practice, and my lived experience.

My goal was to create a program that is clear and engaging, and leaves parents feeling empowered and confident in their ability to be their child's greatest supporter, ally, and advocate. Access to the program is free, so there is no financial barrier.

I know that if we work together, we can build communities where autistic children experience the feeling of safety that comes from being truly understood.

I would love for you to join The Safe House. Let's create a culture of kindness for our kids.

It takes a village

The Safe House Framework methodology is designed to help teams work together for the best outcomes for autistic children and young people.

Home

Parents are the most important member of a child's team, and the parent program is the heart of the methodology. It is designed to carefully guide and support you through the process of building a Safe House for your child.

I want to make parent education as accessible as possible, so the program is free.

School

Teachers are such important members of a child's team! The educator program empowers teachers with the understanding, knowledge, and skills they need to create truly inclusive, neuro-affirming classrooms.

With a focus on universal design and individualised adjustments for neurodivergent learners, the educators program is designed to help facilitate collaboration between education and health teams, with the aim of removing the barriers faced by autistic students.

Health Team

The health professional program is designed for all the members of your child's health team.

The framework fits around each members unique skill set - guiding, shaping, and nourishing the way they work with your child, your family, and the other members your child's team.

Support Workers

The right support worker fits in like they've always been there, often becoming part of a child's day-to-day life, and a key member of the team.

The Support Worker Program is designed to foster an affirming mindset and equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to work alongside other members of the team to provide high-quality support.

We're better together.

“Valli, your course is changing lives - both personally and professionally. I just want to express sincere gratitude for your labour of love. ”

“Valli, I signed up as a parent to a neurodivergent child and WOW!!! It is so evident that you poured a tonne of time and effort into developing this course. Such a wonderful resource for parents to have access to for free. Thank you so much for your hard work.”

“This is amazing! I love how much care and attention has gone into making the course structure clear, accessible, and easy to navigate. Thank you so much for this. ”

“I have found your course to be groundbreaking for me. I am a neurodivergent grandparent with neurodivergent children and grandchildren. Your course has helped me to make changes in the way I relate to myself and to my loved ones. Our family relationships have improved, and we are continuing to navigate our differences in a kinder, more accepting way. I am sure your work will continue to help people in more ways than you will ever know. A massive thank you for your generosity.”

“This is the resource I wish my mum has when I was an undiagnosed autistic kid. Thank you - this is a gift.”

“Enormous gratitude as this whole story of neurodiversity is fascinating. My very narrow understanding of this subject is revealed. Excited to further educate myself so I can better understand our child. I can now see how we try to fit a square peg into a round hole. An enormous amount of research and personal experience makes this course very real.”

“I just wanted to say thank you for this incredible program! I can't even imagine the hundreds of hours of work it would have taken to create. It's super impressive! ”

“Beautifully crafted content. Thank you so much. 10/10 Highly recommend.”
